Terms of Service

Last updated: March 2026

1. About These Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of RepairTech Kenya's appliance repair services and website. By booking a repair or using our website, you agree to these Terms in full. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

RepairTech Kenya is operated from Mwiki Road, Kasarani Mwiki, Nairobi, Kenya. For enquiries, contact us at info@repairtech.co.ke or call 0742 539 455.

2. Our Services

RepairTech Kenya provides on-site appliance and electronics repair services across Nairobi County, including repairs for washing machines, refrigerators, cookers, ovens, televisions, microwaves, water dispensers, laptops, and mobile phones.

All repairs are carried out at your home or premises. We do not operate a drop-off workshop. Our technicians bring the necessary tools and common spare parts to complete most repairs in a single visit.

3. Booking a Repair

A repair booking is made when you contact us by:

  • Calling 0742 539 455 or 0795 904 191
  • Sending a WhatsApp message to +254742539455
  • Submitting the service request form on our website

By making a booking, you confirm that you are the owner of the appliance or have the authority to authorise repair work on it. You agree to provide accurate information about the appliance, the fault, and your location.

4. Diagnostic Fee

A refundable diagnostic fee of Ksh 500 – 1,000 applies for the initial inspection visit, which takes approximately 30 minutes. This fee covers the technician's assessment of the appliance fault and the preparation of a repair quote.

The diagnostic fee is fully refunded if you choose to proceed with the repair on the same visit. If you decline the repair after receiving the quote, the diagnostic fee is retained as a call-out and assessment charge.

5. Pricing and Quotes

All prices shown on our website are estimates only. The final cost of a repair depends on the specific fault, the appliance brand and model, and the spare parts required.

Before commencing any repair work, our technician will provide you with a fixed quote covering all parts and labour. No work will begin without your explicit approval of the quoted price. We do not add charges after work has begun without your prior agreement.

6. Payment

Payment is due upon completion of the repair, once you have tested the appliance and are satisfied with the work. We accept:

  • Cash — paid directly to the technician
  • M-Pesa — sent to the provided till or phone number

We do not accept card payments or bank transfers at this time. A receipt or confirmation will be provided upon payment.

7. Warranty on Select Services

Warranty coverage is available on select services and parts. The availability and duration of warranty coverage depends on the type of repair performed and the parts used. Your technician will inform you of the applicable warranty terms before work begins.

Where warranty applies, it covers the specific fault repaired. It does not cover:

  • New or unrelated faults that develop after the repair
  • Damage caused by misuse, power surges, or improper installation
  • Consumable parts that naturally wear over time
  • Appliances tampered with by another party after our repair

To make a warranty claim, contact us within the warranty period by calling 0742 539 455 or emailing info@repairtech.co.ke. We will arrange a return visit at no additional charge if the claim is valid.

8. Spare Parts

We use high-quality genuine or OEM-equivalent spare parts. Where a specific part is unavailable and an alternative is proposed, our technician will inform you before proceeding. Spare parts that have been installed are non-refundable once the repair is accepted and payment is made.

9. Cancellations and Rescheduling

You may cancel or reschedule a booked appointment at any time before the technician departs for your location, free of charge. If you cancel after the technician has already travelled to your address, the diagnostic fee may apply to cover the technician's time and transport.

We will always notify you if we need to reschedule due to technician availability or unforeseen circumstances, and will offer the earliest alternative time slot.

10. Limitation of Liability

RepairTech Kenya's liability for any claim arising from a repair service is limited to the amount paid for that specific repair. We are not liable for:

  • Indirect or consequential losses (including food spoilage due to fridge failure)
  • Loss of data on electronic devices
  • Pre-existing damage to the appliance not related to the repair carried out
  • Delays caused by unavailability of spare parts

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death, personal injury, or fraud caused by our negligence.

11. Your Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide a safe and accessible working environment for our technicians
  • Ensure the appliance is available and accessible at the agreed appointment time
  • Provide accurate information about the fault to help us prepare appropriately
  • Not attempt to carry out your own repairs on the appliance while a warranty claim is pending

12. Intellectual Property

All content on the RepairTech Kenya website — including text, images, logos, and design — is the property of RepairTech Kenya or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content without our written permission.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service at any time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any disputes arising from these Terms or our services shall first be attempted to be resolved amicably. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Kenyan courts.
